Established in 1956, the Institute conducts product development, research and training activities and also attempts to safeguard the languishing crafts of the state.
The state of Bihar is rich in its arts and crafts, which is quite evident from the fact that it is home to some of India’s first paintings.
UMSAS organises as well as participates in a wide range of public programs, including exhibits, workshops, seminars, fairs, and special events.
This listing is ideal for those who wish to contact, meet, buy from, and design for artisans and those who want to conduct research on heritage crafts.
